Activities at Golden Eagle Ranch
Hiking. Many hiking trails are available right here on the ranch. Terrain is hilly. Take a walk down to the creek which runs all year. See if you can find our Indian grind hole which was used to grind acorns into flour by local Native peoples. Remember to wear good sturdy shoes.
Bird Watching. There are many varieties of birds that live in this area. See how many you can spot on the ground, in bushes and trees. My personal favorites are the hawks that soar through the valley. Don't forget those wild turkeys who visit the ranch twice a day. Remember to keep a safe distance from all wild animals.
Observing Ranch animals. You cannot go into their enclosure or let them out, but the resident ranch animals are amusing to observe.
Stargazing. Most nights the skies are clear and you can easily see many stars, constellations, and some planets. If you are really lucky to be at the ranch when Chris gets out his telescope, you will be in for a real treat.
